"Never Say Never Again" is a 1983 spy film featuring Sean Connery in his final portrayal of James Bond. The film is based on the 1961 novel "Thunderball" by Ian Fleming and was produced outside the traditional Eon Productions framework. The title references Connery's earlier declaration that he would "never again" play Bond, making this film a notable return for the actor after a twelve-year hiatus from the role.

Our guest for the evening will be James Bond historian and Ian Fleming Foundation member/representative, Bruce Scivally. Co-author of the 40th anniversary retrospective book "James Bond: The Legacy," Bruce will give us the thrilling backstory on the tumultuous history of producer Kevin McClory's Thunderball battle against EON Productions, and how it eventually became the film Never Say Never Again.
